The 2023 JET Programme participants will soon be jetting off to Japan and we'll be seeing them off in style.

You might recall the excitement, anticipation and outright nervousness you felt before you left! Ayae Sensie's Next Japanese chat lesson is on Thursday the 20th of July from 7-8 pm

We are also going to be hosting JLPT preperation classes in advance of the December test.

After the Orientation Day in Edinburgh there is a nijikai for departing JETs from 6 pm, details TBA.

BBQ for departing JETs/leavers in Meadows, Edinburgh. Traditionally held in the same spot, we will cater for vegetarians as well. Time TBA

Plans are underway to have a Matsuri in Cowden Japan Garden, Clackmanshire.

JETAA North West are welcoming new JETs about to embark on the progream with a meet-up at Duttons in Manchester (2-10 Albert Square, M2 6LW) at 7pm on July 13th. This event is set to give all our JET programme participants a platform to connect, learn and get exited for the adventures that lie ahead. RSVP here https://www.jetaa-northwest.co.uk/ 

We are also having our Summer Matsuri at Tatton Park on Saturday the 29th of July this year, from 11am-4pm. 

There will be Koto and Taiko performers, Enka singing, kamishibai, and demonstrations of Japanese Tea ceremony, caligraphy and martial arts. It is sure to be a grand day out, full of Japanese food, culture and activies for the whole family.
