Karaage seems to be the staple of many JET diets. If you're hosting a party, at karaoke, or looking for a last minute meal in the konbini, karaage has your back. Fried chicken from the UK just isn't the same, but with this recipe you should be able to recapture some of the magic of Japanese fast food.

Ingredients

500 grams of chicken thigh

60ml cup soy sauce

60ml cup sake

1 tsp garlic grated

1 tsp ginger grated

1 tbsp sesame oil

45 grams of flour

45 grams of  potato starch

1 tsp salt

cooking spray

Instructions

Roughly cut your chicken thighs into cubes

mix together your soy sauce, sake, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil and pour in a bowl.

Place the chicken in the bowl and let it marinade for half an hour

When ready to fry, preheat your air fryer to 200 degrees.

Mix your flour, potato starch, and salt in a big bowl.

Take the chicken out of the marinade and roll it around in the dry ingredients until it is heavily coated.

Spray the air fryer with your cooking oil, put the chicken in it then spray the chicken as well

Cook the chicken for 10-15 minutes, shaking it about halfway through, then enjoy your succulent and Easy karaage.
