Forget carol concerts: JETAA London do Christmas karaoke!
We come to the end of social activities for 2019 with the JETAA London Chapter – お疲れ様です！
On Friday 22 November alumni gathered at the Glasshouse Stores in central Soho for some socialising and to sufficiently wet whistles for the following two hours of glorious Japanese-style karaoke (complete with all of the delicious Japanese snacks!). There was a strong sense of nostalgia in the air as we sang hits mostly from the nineties and noughties, and a hint of festiveness as we also smashed some Christmas classics.
Thank you to all who came, whether it was for drinks for the first part of the evening, or for both drinks and karaoke. It’s always nice to catch up with familiar faces and meet newcomers to the JETAA social events.
That is it for this year, but we do hope to see you in 2020 for more fun-filled events.
We will be holding a “shinnenkai” in mid-Janauary to welcome in the year with a sit-down meal and opportunities to catch up and make new friends, while enjoying our much-loved cuisine of the Far East – stay tuned for details!
We will also be posting various social events throughout the year, so keep checking our JETAA UK Newsletters, the JETAA UK Facebook page and the JETAA UK website, and we hope to see you there!
Until then, Merry Christmas and 明けましておめでとうございます！
