Japanese Food, Music Set for Cotswold Ekiden

Discount for JETAA participants

On 3rd September, 2017, one of Japan's most popular sports, the ekiden or relay race, will come to the Cotswolds.

Participants will follow an undulating, multi-terrain course through beautiful English countryside in the grounds of Sudeley Castle, each running 5.5km (3.42 miles).

Cotswolds Ekiden organiser RNR Pursuits is offering JET alumni a special rate of £11 to participate in the event. Those interested should email rich@nrnpursuits.com before signing up.

For JET alumni interested in forming a team, please post on the JETAA UK Facebook page.

UK food purveyor Miniyaki's will be serving Japanese street food at the event hub while Bristol Taiko Drummers will be performing throughout the day.

Did you know? The difference between an ekiden and a conventional relay race is that a sash called a tasuki is used instead of a baton. For more details on the history and meaning of ekiden as well as information about the Cotswold Ekiden, visit www.rnrpursuits.com.
